Where to use digital voice

In response to an increasing interest in digital voice transmissions the WIA Band Plans now include a set of simplex VHF and UHF frequencies.

On 2m the national simplex frequency is 145.125MHz with secondary frequencies being 145.1125 and 145.1375 MHz.

On 70cm the national simplex is 438.900MHz with secondaries at 438.9125 and 438.925MHz.

Congratulations to the WIA through its repeater coordinator Peter Mill VK3APO and Technical Advisory Committee on making an early decision to nominate digital voice frequencies.
